Flutist, Zara Lawler, and Cynthia recently created and performed an immersive song cycle of music and scenes from Betty Smith's beloved classic novel, "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn".  All of the music in the performance is taken directly from the book, ranging from folk and popular tunes to works by Schubert, Dvorak and Bizet, woven seamlessly into key moments from the story.  â€‹

C4: The Choral Composer/Conductor Collective premiered my new composition, "Exploding Toads?" in the October 19 Premieres I concert at St. Luke in the Fields.
I recently sang with C4 in this concert and was grateful to sing in solo quartets in two of the pieces!
